A note
from Bro. Rick:
His Impact...the name says it
all doesn't it? We here at RickDoan.com, home of H.I.M.
are excited
as we move into the next phase of fulfilling the vision God has given. God
has given us opportunity to learn many skills and trades that
are beneficial to many
walks of life.
My wife is a Speech Pathologist who works with special needs children
every day. I have been blessed to have been an Assistant Pastor, a Youth Pastor, and
now serve the Lord as an Evangelist. I'm also a Master/Licensed
Electrician, I've worked
as a
plumber, HVAC technician and have been able to gain many construction/building skills.
This ministry is not about a particular denomination or church. Instead it's
about using what
we have to reach every one that
we can. My wife uses her special skills to love children and
help them each day. I use my skills to teach young men and women a trade. I'm offering
to teach Missionaries how to do their own work
better in the Countries in which they serve.
Everyone
has something to offer!
But
above all else we want to see those who have the greatest needs in their life to find
the answers they are looking for. Look at this passage of Scripture from Isaiah.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good
tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty
to
the captives, and the opening of the
prison to them that are bound;
To
proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to
comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,
to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of
praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD, that he might
be glorified.
(Isaiah 61: 1-3)
My wife and I believe firmly in the life changing
power of Jesus Christ. These words spoken
by the prophet Isaiah echo the sentiments of the burden and desires God has placed within our hearts.
We believe God can meet every need of your life. Drug addiction can be broken,
alcoholism
can be defeated and broken/wounded
hearts can be mended. We all have had life's heartaches set
us back but we have found that Jesus is the one who changes everything.
